David Schimmel, President & Creative Director
David combines creative thinking with pragmatic business acumen to help clients capitalize on opportunities. Under his leadership, And Partners has become an internationally recognized full-service communications company that blends traditional design discipline with innovative technology and interaction design.
David’s work has been recognized with major communications awards such as a Gold Pencil at the One Show and a Yellow Pencil from the Design and Art Direction awards in the UK, to name a few.
David serves on the Advisory Board of Portfolio Center in Atlanta, speaks regularly at industry conferences, and is a sought-after judge at prestigious design competitions including Communication Arts, Graphis, and HOW. He is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis with degrees in Communication Design and Business.
Sarah Hans, Executive Vice President
Sarah‘s ability to merge creativity with responsiveness has built strong client relationships and guided the creation of work that gets results and industry recognition. She partners with clients to shape a shared vision of the challenge and solution for each engagement and stands accountable for the successful realization of that vision.
In addition to helping And Partners grow for the past seven years, Sarah has worked at some of the industry’s most prestigious firms and has lead multiple assignments for clients such as Goldman Sachs, 3M, KPMG, Xerox, Siemens, Morgan Stanley, Wyeth, VF Corporation, Guy Carpenter, International Paper, Knoll Furniture, NYSE,The Luxury Marketing Council, New York Life, Pitney Bowes and ‘21’ Club.
Brian Crooks, Art Director
Brian believes that the best user experience comes from integrating customer behavior with graphic design principles, thereby creating an interaction that is seamless and intuitive.
At And Partners, he has architected, designed, and implemented large programs for Neenah Paper and VF Corporation that include websites, microsites, mobile applications, video and companion print collateral.
Previously, Brian worked at Pentagram and The Sloan Group with clients such as Citibank (on the team that created the Thank You Rewards program), Weill-Cornell Medical Center, Time Warner Cable, and the Lance Armstrong Foundation.
Nina Boesch, Senior Interactive Designer
Nina’s specialization combines interaction design and information architecture with a deep foundation in traditional graphic design. The results are award winning, successful communications, both on- and off-line.
Nina’s work includes websites, mobile and desktop apps and touch-screen exhibitions for clients such as One Laptop Per Child, The MoMA, and Turner Classic Movies.
Nina has been honored by the AIGA, IDSA, ADC, TDC, HOW magazine, I.D. magazine, and Adobe.
A native of Bremen, Germany, Nina is a Pentagram alumna, an Art Directors Club Young Gun, and a jury member at the 2010 Art Directors Club awards.
Craig Bailey, Art Director
Craig blends design expertise with brand strategy experience to create communications that connect the dots in unexpected ways.
His work ranges from complete branding programs to annual reports and includes identity systems, collateral material, broadcast, and book design. Some past clients include Apple, Levi’s, PBS, Hyundai, AT&T Wireless, and Texaco.
In addition to numerous industry awards, Craig’s work is represented in the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art in New York and San Francisco as well as the Museum fur Kunst und Gewerbe, Hamburg, Germany. He is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Texas Christian University.
Chris Manlapid, Senior Developer
Chris brings a creative problem-solver’s perspective to the technical challenges of digital production.
Over the course of his career, Chris has developed e-commerce, social networking, video, and content management applications for clients such as Neenah Paper, Sapporo, Jimmy Jazz apparel, and New York Water Taxi. He is fluent in the alphabet soup of programming languages that make our increasingly digital world go around.
Chris is a graduate of Rutgers University with a degree in Computer & Electric Engineering.
Charlie Veprek, Editorial and Messaging Director
Charlie combines a strategist’s ability to think critically with a copywriter’s ability to execute creatively to tell stories that get to the core of what really matters.
Prior to And Partners, Charlie was a creative director and copywriter for a number of New York advertising agencies, where he created and lead the implementation efforts of multi-million dollar branding campaigns for blue-chip clients such as Intel, Smith Barney, Holiday Inn, Verizon Wireless, Avis, LG Electronics, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Priceline.com, and the United States Tennis Association. His work has recognized by numerous industry awards, including the One Show, the Art Directors Club, and the Radio Mercury Awards.
A New Orleans native, Charlie is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Boston College and was a 1999 Rhodes Scholarship finalist.
Lauren Gabbe, Account Executive
Lauren believes in two keys to successful execution of creative projects: strong, trusting relationships and open communication with both clients and vendors.
Prior to joining And Partners, Lauren gained 15 years of management experience as an executive producer, studio manager and agent for the award-winning commercial photography agency B-hive. In this capacity, Lauren honed the important skills she uses every day: negotiating, estimating, marketing, trouble-shooting, and problem solving.
